Anna & David’s Lady Margaret Hall Wedding Photos in Oxford with Punting :)

I always enjoy a wedding venue with some history and Anna & David’s Oxford wedding venue choice certainly had that. They got married at Oxford University’s Lady Margaret Hall. Not only is Oxford University world renowned for it’s place in educational history but it’s also where David attended university (and less relevantly my Dad too).

Why Might You Pick Lady Margaret Hall For Your Wedding?

Lady Margaret Hall was a fantastic choice for a wedding! The chapel was beautiful, the grounds were stunning and the room for dinner and partying was brimming with character. Anna & David made full use of all of this including arranging some punts on the river! Definitely a highlight! Coming out of the ceremony everyone passed under a tunnel of rowing oars. A nod to David being a keen and talented cox back in his uni days. And of course an oxford wedding wouldn’t be the same without croquet and Pimms on the lawn in the sun.

Anna & David’s Story

I first had the pleasure of hanging out with Anna and David during their engagement shoot in Hyde Park. They come across as quite a relaxed couple, but scratch under the surface and you discover their joint passion for travel and adventure. They also seem to enjoy taking on quite a few personal projects at once. At the time of planning their wedding they were also renovating their new home – pretty impressive.

I was privileged to join their guests for dinner and enjoyed one of the nicest wedding breakfasts (still don’t really understand the reason for calling it ‘breakfast’..) I’ve ever had. Kudos to the catering staff at Lady Margaret’s Hall!

Anna & David’s Generousity

It was following the meal during the speeches that I saw an example of Anna and David’s generous nature. During our first chat a year before it had briefly come up that their wedding day fell on the same day as my Birthday. Not only had they remembered this but they had even bought me a very nice bottle of wine which they gave me during the speeches. At the time I honestly didn’t know what to say. What a couple!

The day was wrapped up with a very energetic Ceilidh with everyone getting involved. A huge congratulations to David & Anna on their amazing Oxford wedding and best of luck to them with all their future adventures together! Of which I’m sure there will be plenty!
