Summer Edwardian Marquee wedding photos taken just outside Maidenhead with Anna and Adam
“I have to say that choosing Matt as our wedding photographer is one of the best decisions we made! The photos were in a word, FANTASTIC! They were vibrant, natural and he managed to capture lots of very special expressions and moments!” – Anna & Adam
Introducing Anna and Adam
Ever since their autumn engagement shoot (Columbia Flower Markets & Victoria Park) last November I’ve been looking forward to Anna & Adam’s outdoor marquee wedding. Mainly because I just wanted to hangout with them again. They are a totally genuine, very easy going couple who are a ton of fun. They fit together so perfectly that it’s hard to image there was ever a time they weren’t together.
Why have a wedding at the Edwardian Marquee?
I set off for their outdoor riverside wedding at the Edwardian Marquee with high expectations. These were smashed. The venue they’d chosen was a perfect fit for the weather we had that day. One of those rare English summer days without a drop of rain all day. There was a large beautiful outdoor space that ran down to the river. The staff on the day were lovely!
Anna, intent on making an entrance, arrived by boat at the end of a long red carpet that led up to the marquee. There was a little confusion when we noticed an inflatable doll being dragged behind the boat. Turned out this was a hen party’s boat. Anna’s bridal boat was just behind them.
A Boat Ride Adventure
After a moving outdoor ceremony (my favourite kind), everyone was in for a treat. A lazy boat ride down the river with drinks and canapés. That’s right, Adam & Anna’s drinks reception was certainly done in style. I think people forgave them for their Titanic reenactment. The rest of the day was filled with laughs, giggles, quite a few tears during the speeches and lots of shenanigans with the lawn games. Btw for anyone planning an outdoor wedding, get some lawn games. These make for a lot of fun photos and act as a great icebreaker for guests who haven’t met before.
Lastly, I have to give a huge shoutout to Anna and Adam’s friends and family who where simply Epic! They were a constant source of fun and merriment throughout the day and included me in the celebrations as one of them. I just hope Adam’s dad has forgiven me by now for catching a photo of him using a napkin as a sun hat….
