A Beautiful Intimate Claridges Wedding in the Heart of London with Cass & Rich

Whoop whoop! I can finally share Cass & Rich’s intimate Claridges wedding photography post! All photos from their wedding had to be kept under-wraps until they’d shared them during their second wedding celebration up in Nottingham on Friday. Trying to decide on which photos to use for this blog post was no easy task. So many amazing moments to choose from! After their Southbank engagement shoot this should have come as no surprise to me. This was one stylish couple who seemed to be constantly smiling and up for a laugh.

An Overview of their Wedding Day

I absolutely love London weddings! They always seem to be so unique with the couple doing totally their own thing. For Cass & Rich this meant enjoying a more intimate affair with a small group of friends and family in London. This would be followed by a larger celebration in Nottingham a couple of weeks later.

The Morning

The morning kicked off with Cass in Kensington. The salon opened early just for her (that’s service for you). Next I was off to capture Rich getting ready. This was also when I got to meet his awesome daughter Evy in person for the first time (previously there had been a Skype call with the Antcliff gang including Honey the dog). After a little while we popped back to catchup with Cass and her mum Ann at the Regency. A quick drive in their cool vintage Taxi from the 1960s and we were at Chelsea Town Hall. Although we were thankfully able to dodge the storm clouds the humidity in the taxi was a bit of a challenge.

The Ceremony at Old Chelsea Town Hall

This being my second visit to Old Chelsea Town Hall I was already familiar with the registrars’ unique sense of humour. Rich however, was not. So he received a bit of a shock when the registrar came up to the front and informed him that “Cass had had a change of mind….(long pause)…..about who the witnesses should be.” Poor fella. After the giving of the rings there was a lovely moment where Cass presented Evy with her very own ring.

Before tea at Claridges Cass, Rich, Evy and I enjoyed some shenanigans in St Luke’s Gardens. This included playing around with the gardener’s equipment while his back was turned (full blame/credit goes to Rich for this one).

Fancy Tea Time at Claridges

I’d been really looking forward to hanging out at Claridges. Although I’d never visited before I was fully aware of their reputation. They didn’t disappoint. From the leather sofa in the lift to Cass & Rich’s suit it was all very impressive. The highlight, from what I saw, had to be the service. Beyond being very friendly and helpful they were able to anticipate their guests’ needs. So by the time you actually asked for something it had already been taken care of. Fingers crossed I’ll get a chance for some more Claridges wedding photography fun in the future.

I wish Cass, Rich and Evy all the best in their future adventures together! Of which I’m sure there will be many!
