An Enchanted Forest themed Hampton Court House Wedding with the Awesome Harriet & Matt

Harriet and Matt’s Woodland themed Hampton Court House wedding marked my penultimate wedding of 2016. And dam was it an awesome one to start wrapping the season up on! These two have to be one of the coolest couples I’ve ever met. Matt is an actor with a real creative side and Harriet is a lawyer with one of the most infectious laughs I’ve ever seen. I love capturing awesome expressions and these two provided an endless supply. The entire day was filled with so much laughter and fun shenanigans.

An Enchanted Forest Proposal

When I met up with Matt and Harriet the previous Christmas to discuss photographing their wedding at Hampton Court House, I learnt about their proposal. I don’t usually mention these, but Matt deserves a shout out for his efforts. While Harriet was at work Matt spent the entire day turning their home into an enchanted forest. From moss to trees and fairy lights (I told you he was creative). When Harriet arrive home he popped the question and they enjoyed a picnic in the forest.

Brad Pitt Zombie

As I mentioned, Matt is an actor. A couple of years ago he had a pretty awesome role. Have you watched World War Z? Well he played the zombie that jumped Brad Pitt in the fire escape and got to slobber all over him in a rather terrifying fashion. If your memory needs refreshing you can find him at 1:35 on this You Tube clip.

Epic Party

Prior to the wedding I had been given the heads up that the party was going to play a major role in the wedding. Dam were they not kidding! From a surprise line dance session for their guests to an epic first dance and then a party that just grew and grew. Their’s was one of the craziest dance floors I’ve rocked on all year. Considering the parties I’ve seen, that’s saying something. Part of the credit for this has to go to the legendary DJ Steve Lewis (apparently did Pierce Brosnan’s wedding too). His mixing was superb and he read the dance floor perfectly.

As usual Dee (leading the Hampton Court House team) was a delight to work with. Rarely have I seen someone who works so hard to ensure the couple have the best time possible.

Best of luck to Matt and Harriet in all their future adventures together!
