The Brick Box‘s A13 Party on the Green events are back!! Their community events are truly one of a kind. If you haven’t already make sure you check one out this summer.

After photographing a few of their last year’s Parties on the Green I was really excited to be back and they surely didn’t disappoint!  They even had glasses of champagne to hand out and a 10 piece brass & drum band playing!

The whole thing was set up on a giant astroturf (‘the green’) rolled out under the overpass with a band stand as the centre piece. There were ping pong tables, giant games, decorative activities for the kids, a bar serving cold beers & ciders and the very popular ‘Temple of Toast’.

Epic performances from DJ Sonic (playing all your favourite summer time dance tunes) and the 10 piece brass and drum band Old Dirty Brasstards (couldn’t keep still listening to them) really brought the whole event alive!

For anyone who hasn’t passed under the A13 overpass in Canning Town (stone throw from the station) it’s far from the most glamorous location in East London. Which makes what the Brick Box girls (Rosie & Eleanor) have achieved there even more spectacular.

What made the night so special for me was the range of people from all walks of life that came along, mixed together and had an awesome time!
