Roisin & Mike’s Beautiful St James Park Proposal Photography in London

Mike reached out to me while he was planning a trip to the UK with his (now) fiancé Roisin. While they both live in the US, Roisin was born in Scotland and her parents are from the UK. This trip was a chance to catch up with her family, plus enjoy a days in Roisin’s favourite city in the world – London. Mike told me he couldn’t think of a better time or place to ask Roisin to marry him.

While looking for a perfect location for his proposal, Mike shared the itinerary Roisin had created for the three days they were in London. It was thorough to say the least. Their plans included most of my favourite London spots, from the Breakfast Club in Soho to St Dunstan in the East, and then some. It also reminded me of some places I still needed to visit (like Churchill War Rooms), and I’ve been in London for 7 years!

Ultimately we picked St James Park for their proposal as the perfect mix of intimacy and being surrounded by some of London’s most iconic locations.

It was such a blast hanging out with Mike and Roisin and being able to capture this exciting moment in their adventures together! Later they asked my to photograph their wedding in Texas which was such an honour. To this day I’m still so gutted that I was unavailable for their date.
