A Crazy Fun Epic Garden Wedding in Sussex with Kirsten and Andrew
I met Kirsten and Andrew a year back at the festival/circus themed wedding of Amy and Gerry (who have just had their first child – congrats guys!). At the wedding both Kirsten and Andrew (aka Viking Gold) had made quite an impression on the dance floor. So I was extremely excited when they got in contact about photographing their crazy fun garden wedding in Sussex.
Setting the Scene
Unsurprisingly knowing these two, our booking meeting got a little boozy and if memory serves me right they even offered me a bed at their place after I missed my final train (what a couple). Ahead of the wedding we met up for an engagement shoot at the Olympic Park which is where they’d met while working at the 2012 Olympic games and where Andrew proposed to Kirsten. The shoot, which was a blast, was followed by more drinks and plenty of laughs. Having so much fun hanging out with these two I just couldn’t wait for their wedding. And damn did it not disappoint. In one word, their wedding was ‘Epic’!
So Many Activities!
With Kirsten being an event organiser she did not hold back on organising a wedding that was action-packed and filled with personal details. From a horse and carriage to a helicopter (ok this one was on Andrew), to so many character filled details through out the day and a hell of a first dance that led the charge for an epic night of partying! Ah so many awesome memories coming back writing this. Andrew even got on stage to do a rap! Haha and oh yeah, even the Llamas at the end of the garden wanted to join in the fun when they escaped their paddock.
A massive best of luck to both Kirsten and Andrew in all your epic future adventures together (I’m sure they’ll be no shortage)! I hope our paths cross again.
